Both usually sit on the driver’s side and they’re connected by fuel lines. Start with the primary filter. Get a drain pan under it and crack open the small drain valve at the bottom of the housing to let out any water that’s accumulated—diesel fuel soaks up moisture like a sponge, and that water destroys injectors if you leave it in there.
